Security is an increasingly important market for Davin. With the need for heightened vigilance in combating terrorism and organised crime, government agencies around the world are looking to improve their capabilities, and Davin is well placed to assist with sophisticated, high quality optical systems in the visible and IR wavebands.
We specialise in the development and manufacture of zoom lenses and multiple focal length lens systems for security observation at very long ranges. Recently we have developed an advanced zoom lens with unrivalled performance. Key features in addition to the normal zoom facility include: two range convertors; apochromatically corrected to work over the whole of the spectrum from 400nm to 1050nm to give high performance at low light levels; extended image field so that the sensor may be scanned across to give field of view scanning; the whole system is fully automated for remote control. The system is built to full MIL-SPEC and can be customised to meet specific requirements.
Davin is working with a number of Clients developing and manufacturing a number of solutions for covert surveillance and other applications.

Athermalised Thermal Imaging Lenses
Davin Optronics offers a range of high performance, ruggedized and athermalised lenses for uncooled focal plane arrays operating in the 8-14µm waveband.
